We had a quick taste of Bangkok because we were only there for two days. When we arrived it was around 7 so we went to our airbnb and it was refreshing. We had much more space and it was nice to have our own place for a little bit. We then walked around and got some dinner at a burger place, smh haha. The next day we went to get breakfast and then headed to the Grand Palace. It was beautiful. Gold and jewels and Buddhas galore. It was blazing hot and we got popsicles after. We went to get some Thai food for dinner and it was delicious. My allergy has not been a problem here which is great. The cards are funny when I hand them to the waiters they always chuckle and say I’ll be good. That night we watched the World Cup in our airbnb.
The next day we woke up and got a tour to Ayutthaya. We had such a nice, fun, cute little man that was our tour guide. He was a wealth of knowledge. The town has so many temples it was crazy. We walked around and it was hot again but we had to push through. My two favorite ones from this day were the one with yellow silk fabric draped over the buddhas and the one with the Buddha head that was beheaded from the statue and now grows higher each year with the tree it was dropped on. You have to kneel when you look at it because it’s at ground level currently. We went back to our airbnb and left town the next day.
