Aguas Calientes, Perú

A bonus post because it’ll be so short. Even as I type this I’m not sure I should even make it. However, I am. As you know, after the trek we got lunch with our squad at a place called Tupana Wasi. I had a rocolo relleno and I loved it! We then had to say goodbye to everyone (2 beers and a shot later) and it was emotional. We walked KB, Katie, and Kelsey to the train station and had a rushed goodbye. I’ll miss Katelyn (have been, can confirm I was right). Mer and I were going to go to the hot springs, which is why we stayed an extra night in this town, but a hot shower and a good nights rest in a hotel did the trick. We got a margarita pizza and passed out.

The next day we simply did laundry, got breakfast at a cafe by our hotel, Hotel Tara, and then wandered around until our train left at 15:30. A train, then a bus, then a shuttle is actually how we got back to Cusco. The train was lovely, Giving hogwarts express but less holiday.

Again, we want high speed rail and we want it now. Good for the economy. Benefits everybody. Hurts nobody.

That’s all she wrote!
